Current peeve: people who insert snippets of dialogue from the movie Austin Powers into their conversations. This is often perpetrated under the guise of having an actual personality, and manifests itself in a series of manic behaviors, fake British accents and forced bravado. It was lame enough three years ago, when everyone who saw Trainspotting ran around saying "shite." Now it's just sad. Get some self-respect. "Yeah ba-a-by"? NO.
