phenomenal power, itty bitty living space

I picked one up today. I've been ripping my CDs all afternoon. I never want to use my Discman again.

Picked one up, just like that! I wish I had the money to go for something similar, so easily. Saving. Do you like Massive Attack?

Dude. I adore Massive Attack.

Just out of curiosity, which album do you like best Raza? I still think Blue Lines is a milestone in modern electronic music, and the sweet voices of Shara Nelson and Horace Andy only makes it better.

Why didn't you get the Creativ Nomad Jukebox Zen?

Why didn't you get the Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen?
(So very un-zen -- or is this a form of Zen Buddhist flagellation?)

You got a 20gig? My 5gig is jealous.

The Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen is so not an iPod. (x4)

Jonas: Blue Lines was my introduction to Massive Attack (particularly "Unfinished Sympathy"), so it occupies a sentimental place in my personal music history. Protection is also great, although I've never really listened to it much as a whole. In terms of growth and repeated perusal, I'd have to say Mezzanine is my favorite Massive Attack album. (I like almost all their stuff so much that I'm being really microscopically subjective in even making such a distinction, but there it is.)

We seem to have a reverse relationship with Protection and Mezzanine. Protection was, like Blue Lines, on extended replay in my world. I popped it in my CD player the day I brought it home from the shop, and it must have stayed there for what seems like eternity. So many experiences of mine are linked together with the voice of Tracy Thorn and the crisp snare of the title track. Mezzanine never grew on me like that, better listen to it some more.

I actually didn't like Mezzanine at all the first time I listened to it. Then "Angel" and "Inertia Creeps" and "Dissolved Girl" and, of course, "Teardrop" really grew on me and I was hooked.

I'm eagerly awaiting their next album. It's due any ... year ... now. Hehe.

their new album is supposed to be coming out in the first two months of 2003, and apparantly they're recording a second 'lesser' album for release later in the year. they'll also be touring quite a bit next year.
