long and radiation-hardened

"With its heavy load of instruments, the spacecraft would have to be at least 300 feet long. The nuclear reactor and the instruments would have to be at opposite ends of the craft—widely separated by scaffolding to protect the instruments from the reactor's radiation."

i read 'spacecraft', 'nuclear' and 'instruments', and came up with interstellar opera. which didn't make a whole lot of sense but was amusing nonetheless. following a comprehensive reading of the quote, i have to say my story sounded more interesting.
