the new new

Whenever I hear the term "mash-up" now I kinda wanna barf.

At last, some said it. I think the term itself irks me more than the concept. It has an irritatingly British ring to it. I think mash-ups are good in theory, but I've heard too many that have an aren't-I-clever aftertaste. By the way, I may be the only one unimpressed with "The Grey Album." I appreciate the effort that went into it, but it came off entirely too clunky.

agreed, there are many bad mash-ups, as there is much bad music. but The Kleptones "A Night at the Hip-Hopera" is beautiful magic.
